Road Traffic (Public Service Vehicles) (Vocational Licences and Conduct of Drivers, Conductors and Passengers) (Amendment No. 2) Rules 2005

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 111 of the Road Traffic Act, the Land Transport Authority of Singapore hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Road Traffic (Public Service Vehicles) (Vocational Licences and Conduct of Drivers, Conductors and Passengers) (Amendment No. 2) Rules 2005 and shall come into operation on 16th May 2005.

Amendment of rule 26

2. Rule 26(1) of the Road Traffic (Public Service Vehicles) (Vocational Licences and Conduct of Drivers, Conductors and Passengers) Rules (R 8) is amended —

(a)

by inserting, immediately after the words “road specified in” in sub-paragraph (a), the words “Part I of”; and

(b)

by deleting sub-paragraphs (b) and (c) and substituting the following sub-paragraphs:

“(b)	on a road specified in Part II of the Second Schedule, except at a taxi stop along the road; and
(c)	along the roads within the boundary specified in Part III of the Second Schedule, except at a taxi stop along the road.”.

Deletion and substitution of Second Schedule

3. The Second Schedule to the Road Traffic (Public Service Vehicles) (Vocational Licences and Conduct of Drivers, Conductors and Passengers) Rules is deleted and the following Schedule substituted therefor:

“SECOND SCHEDULE

Rule 26(1)

Part I

(1) Anson Road (between Maxwell Road and Parsi Road)

(2) Battery Road

(3) Cecil Street

(4) Claymore Road

(5) Market Street

(6) Raffles Quay

(7) Robinson Road

(8) Shenton Way

(9) South Canal Road.

Part II

(1) Cairnhill Road

(2) Collyer Quay

(3) D’Almeida Street

(4) Hill Street

(5) Keppel Road (between Shenton Way and Ayer Rajah Expressway slip road)

(6) Kramat Lane

(7) New Market Road

(8) North Bridge Road (between Bras Basah Road and High Street)

(9) Rochor Canal Road (between Bencoolen Street and Selegie Road)

(10) Stamford Road (between Saint Andrews Road and North Bridge Road)

(11) Upper Cross Street (between New Bridge Road and Park Crescent)

(12) Along Jumbo Jet Drive, Grandstand Drive, Saas Fee Avenue 1 and Grenadier Loop.

Part III

(1) Within the boundary of Changi International Airport area enclosed by South Perimeter Road, East Perimeter Road, Changi Coast Road, Nicoll Drive, Telok Paku Road, Aviation Drive and West Perimeter Road

(2) Within the boundary of the car park of Seletar Airport.”.
