(Mass Gathering Testing for
Coronavirus Disease 2019) (Amendment)
Regulations 2021
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 73(1) of the Infectious Diseases Act, the Minister for Health makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations are the Infectious Diseases (Mass Gathering Testing for Coronavirus Disease 2019) (Amendment) Regulations 2021 and come into operation on 8 May 2021.
Amendment of regulation 9
2.  Regulation 9 of the Infectious Diseases (Mass Gathering Testing for Coronavirus Disease 2019) Regulations 2021 (G.N. No. S 273/2021) (called in these Regulations the principal Regulations) is amended —
(a)by inserting, immediately after paragraph (2), the following paragraphs:
(2A)  In the case of a solemnization of a marriage to which regulation 7A(2A)(ca) of the COVID‑19 (Temporary Measures) (Control Order) Regulations 2020 (G.N. No. S 254/2020) applies, an individual who is a party to the marriage to be solemnized or solemnized must not do any of the following:
(a)intentionally enter a room or place where the solemnization is to take place during the solemnization restricted period of the solemnization if the individual does not have a cleared status when entering the room or place and the individual —
(i)knows that he or she does not have a cleared status when entering the room or place during that solemnization restricted period; or
(ii)is reckless as to whether he or she has a cleared status when entering the room or place during that solemnization restricted period;
(b)intentionally remain in a room or place where the solemnization is to take place or takes place at any time during the solemnization restricted period of the solemnization if the individual stops having a cleared status while within the room or place during that solemnization restricted period and the individual —
(i)knows that he or she stops having a cleared status while within the room or place during that solemnization restricted period; or
(ii)is reckless as to whether he or she continues having a cleared status while within the room or place during that solemnization restricted period.
(2B)  In paragraph (2A), “solemnization restricted period”, for a solemnization, means the time —
(a)starting 60 minutes before the time the solemnization is stated will begin in any invitation relating to the solemnization; and
(b)ending 60 minutes after the time that the solemnization is stated will end on any invitation relating to the solemnization.”; and
(b)by deleting the words “or (2)” in paragraph (3) and substituting the words “, (2) or (2A)”.
Amendment of First Schedule
3.  The fourth column (titled “End”) of item 1 of the First Schedule to the principal Regulations is amended by deleting “356th” in row (2) and substituting “365th”.
Amendment of Second Schedule
4.  The first column (titled “Restricted Place”) of Part 1 of the Second Schedule to the principal Regulations is amended —
(a)by deleting “98” in item 1 and substituting “48”;
(b)by deleting the words “250 seated audience members” in item 2 and substituting the words “100 seated audience members”;
(c)by deleting the words “250 or fewer seated audience members” in item 3(a) and substituting the words “100 or fewer seated audience members”;
(d)by deleting “250” in items 4 and 5(a) and substituting in each case “100”;
(e)by deleting the words “is 250 or fewer” in item 6(a) and substituting the words “is more than 100 but not more than 250”;
(f)by deleting the words “250 participants” in item 7 and substituting the words “100 participants”; and
(g)by deleting the words “250 or fewer participants” in item 8(a) and substituting the words “100 or fewer participants”.
