Road Traffic Act
(Amendment of Second Schedule)
Order 2017

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 100(2) of the Road Traffic Act, the Land Transport Authority of Singapore makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order is the Road Traffic Act (Amendment of Second Schedule) Order 2017 and comes into operation on 20 June 2017.

Amendment of Second Schedule

2. Paragraph 1 of the Second Schedule to the Road Traffic Act is amended by deleting paragraph (e) and substituting the following paragraph:

“(e)	Private hire cars

Motor cars that do not ply for hire on any road but are hired, or made available for hire, under a contract (express or implied) for use as a whole —

(i)	with a driver for the purpose of conveying one or more passengers in that car; or

(ii)	by a hirer, or any other person authorised by the hirer in the contract, to drive the motor car personally.”.
