Companies (Winding Up) (Amendment No. 2) Rules 2001
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 410 of the Companies Act, the Rules Committee, constituted under the Supreme Court of Judicature Act (Cap. 322), hereby makes the following Rules:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Rules may be cited as the Companies (Winding Up) (Amendment No. 2) Rules 2001 and shall come into operation on 1st July 2001.
Deletion and substitution of rule 79
2.  Rule 79 of the Companies (Winding Up) Rules (R 1) (referred to in these Rules as the principal Rules) is deleted and the following rule substituted therefor:
Mode of proof
79.  A debt shall be proved in any winding up by delivering by electronic filing or sending through the post to the liquidator a declaration verifying the debt.”.
Amendment of rule 80
3.  Rule 80 of the principal Rules is amended by deleting the word “statutory”.
Amendment of rule 81
4.  Rule 81 of the principal Rules is amended —
(a)by deleting the word “statutory” in paragraph (1); and
(b)by deleting the word “vouchers” in paragraphs (1) and (2) and substituting in each case the word “documents”.
Amendment of rule 82
5.  Rule 82 of the principal Rules is amended by deleting the word “statutory”.
Deletion of rule 83
6.  Rule 83 of the principal Rules is deleted.
Amendment of rule 89
7.  Rule 89 (1) of the principal Rules is amended by deleting the words “Form 78” in the 3rd line and substituting the words “Form 77”.
