Personal Mobility Device Riders)
(No. 3) Order 2018

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 142 of the Road Traffic Act, the Minister for Transport makes the following Order:

Citation

1. This Order is the Road Traffic (Car-Free Sunday SG — Exemption for Personal Mobility Device Riders) (No. 3) Order 2018.

Definition

2. In this Order, “Car‑Free Sunday SG” means the event known as Car‑Free Sunday SG conducted on the roads specified in the Schedule on 27 May 2018 from 5 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.

Exemption for personal mobility device riders

3. Sections 5A and 5B of the Act do not apply to an individual who rides a personal mobility device on any road or part of any road specified in the Schedule, in connection with Car‑Free Sunday SG, if all of the following conditions are satisfied in relation to the personal mobility device:

(a)	the personal mobility device is only ridden during Car‑Free Sunday SG;
(b)	the personal mobility device is not ridden at a speed exceeding 15 km/h;
(c)	the personal mobility device is not a non‑compliant personal mobility device within the meaning given by the Active Mobility Act 2017 (Act 3 of 2017).
