(Moving Generations)
(Exemption) Order 2019
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 66 of the Active Mobility Act 2017, the Minister for Transport makes the following Order:
Citation
1.  This Order is the Active Mobility (Moving Generations) (Exemption) Order 2019.
Definitions
2.  In this Order —
“e-trishaw” means a three-wheeled pedal cycle that —
(a)is constructed or adapted for the carriage of passengers;
(b)is equipped with an electric motor; and
(c)may be propelled by human power or by the electric motor with which it is equipped, or by both;
“Moving Generations” means the event known as Moving Generations conducted on the footpaths specified in the Schedule on 18 April 2019 from 9.30 a.m. to 2.30 p.m.;
“organiser” means the company incorporated under the Companies Act (Cap. 50) as Cycling Without Age Singapore Ltd. (UEN No. 201714757N);
“specified e‑trishaw” means any e‑trishaw that is used by the organiser for the purpose of Moving Generations.
Exemption for specified e‑trishaws drivers
3.  Section 16(1)(b) of the Act does not apply to an individual who drives a specified e‑trishaw on any footpath specified in the Schedule, in connection with Moving Generations, if all of the following conditions are satisfied:
(a)the specified e‑trishaw is driven only during Moving Generations;
(b)the individual is authorised by the organiser to drive the specified e‑trishaw;
(c)the specified e‑trishaw is not driven at a speed exceeding 10 km/h;
(d)no more than 5 specified e‑trishaws are used at any time on all of the footpaths specified in the Schedule;
(e)the specified e‑trishaw is used to carry, at any time, no more than one driver and 2 passengers, but not for reward;
(f)all passengers on the specified e‑trishaw are safely secured;
(g)the specified e‑trishaw is not used to carry goods for hire or reward;
(h)there is in force, at any time the specified e‑trishaw is used in connection with Moving Generations, a policy of insurance in relation to the specified e‑trishaw, insuring against any liability in respect of the death of or bodily injury sustained by any person, or property damage suffered by any person, caused by or arising out of the use of the specified e‑trishaw.
