Road Traffic (New Drivers)
(Amendment No. 2) Rules 2015

In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 48 and 140 of the Road Traffic Act, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Road Traffic (New Drivers) (Amendment No. 2) Rules 2015 and come into operation on 1 June 2015.

Amendment of rule 5

2. Rule 5 of the Road Traffic (New Drivers) Rules (R 32) is amended —

(a)	by deleting the words “or Class 3” wherever they appear in paragraphs (1)(a) and (b), (1A) and (6)(b) and substituting in each case the words “, 3, 3A, 3C or 3CA”; and
(b)	by deleting the words “Class 3” in paragraph (2)(b), (c) and (d) and substituting in each case the words “Class 3, 3A, 3C or 3CA”.

Amendment of Schedule

3. The Schedule to the Road Traffic (New Drivers) Rules is amended by deleting the words “or Class 3” and substituting the words “, 3, 3A, 3C or 3CA”.
