Notification 2016

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 5(2) of the Road Traffic Act, the Land Transport Authority of Singapore makes the following Notification:

Citation

1. This Notification is the Road Traffic (Authorisation of Use) Notification 2016.

Authorised use of vehicle

2.—(1) Subject to sub‑paragraph (2), the vehicle bearing the registration number SG5999Z and which does not comply with the Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Construction and Use) Rules (R 9) is authorised for use on 20 July 2016 on any road in Singapore.

(2) The authorisation in sub‑paragraph (1) is subject to the condition that there must be in force at all times a policy of insurance, in relation to the vehicle, insuring against any liability in respect of damage to any property or the death of, or bodily injury sustained by, any person caused by or arising out of the use of the vehicle.

(3) To avoid doubt, this Notification does not affect the operation of section 65A of the Road Traffic Act.
