(Classification Ratings)
Order 2019
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 13 of the Films Act, the Minister for Communications and Information makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Order is the Films (Classification Ratings) Order 2019 and comes into operation on 29 April 2019.
Definitions
2.  In this Order, unless the context otherwise requires —
“alternative classification marking”, for any classification rating, means a character or character and number prescribed by this Order as an alternative classification marking for that classification rating, regardless of font, size, proportion or colour;
“classification marking”, for any classification rating, means all the following prescribed by this Order as a classification marking for that classification rating:
(a)the character or number or both;
(b)the symbol;
(c)the symbol box, being a square, rectangle, circle or other shape;
(d)the colour of the character, number and symbol, and the background of the symbol box.
Classification ratings for video games
3.  The classification ratings for video games, and their respective classification markings and information, are set out in Part 1 of the Schedule.
Classification ratings for other films
4.  The classification ratings for films which are not video games, and their respective classification markings, alternative classification markings and information, are set out in Part 2 of the Schedule.
