Pingat Pentadbiran Awam
(The Public Administration Medal)
(Amendment) Rules 2002

The President hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Pingat Pentadbiran Awam (The Public Administration Medal) (Amendment) Rules 2002 and shall come into operation on 16th July 2002.

Deletion and substitution of rule 4

2. Rule 4 of the Pingat Pentadbiran Awam (The Public Administration Medal) Rules 1996 (G. N. No. S 334/96) is deleted and the following rule substituted therefor:

“4. The Medal may be awarded to any of the following persons for outstanding efficiency, competence and industry:

(a)	any person who is or has been a public officer;
(b)	any person who is or has been an officer employed by any statutory authority (other than a Town Council);
(c)	any person who is or has been in the service of any organisation, association or body rendering services in the field of education; or
(d)	any person who is or has been employed in any company which is wholly-owned by the Government and which is carrying on business mainly as an agent or instrumentality of the Government.”.
