(Motor Vehicles, Wearing of Seat Belts)
(Amendment) Rules 2019

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 75 of the Road Traffic Act, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules are the Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Wearing of Seat Belts) (Amendment) Rules 2019 and come into operation on 1 May 2019.

Amendment of rule 2

2. Rule 2 of the Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Wearing of Seat Belts) Rules 2011 (G.N. No. S 688/2011) is amended by deleting the definition of “business service passenger vehicle” and substituting the following definition:

“ “business service passenger vehicle” has the meaning given by rule 2(1) of the Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Registration and Licensing) Rules (R 5);”.
