(National Day Parade 2021 — Exemption)
(Amendment) Order 2021

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 66 of the Active Mobility Act 2017, the Minister for Transport makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order is the Active Mobility (National Day Parade 2021 — Exemption) (Amendment) Order 2021 and comes into operation on 14 June 2021.

Amendment of paragraph 2

2. Paragraph 2 of the Active Mobility (National Day Parade 2021 — Exemption) Order 2021 (G.N. No. S 266/2021) (called in this Order the principal Order) is amended —

(a)

by inserting, immediately before the definition of “Singapore Armed Forces”, the following definition:

“ “emergency” means an actual or imminent event that causes, or threatens to cause —

(a)	any harm or danger to the life, health or safety of any individual;
(b)	any destruction of, or damage to, any property; or
(c)	any harm or danger to the health or safety of the public;”;

(b)

by inserting, immediately after the definition of “Singapore Armed Forces”, the following definition:

“ “Singapore Police Force” means the Singapore Police Force established under the Police Force Act (Cap. 235);”; and

(c)

by deleting the definition of “specified footpath” and substituting the following definition:

“ “specified footpath” means any of the footpaths delineated by black-coloured lines in the maps set out in the Schedule;”.

Amendment of paragraph 3

3. Paragraph 3 of the principal Order is amended —

(a)

by deleting the words “the specified footpath” and substituting the words “any of the specified footpaths”;

(b)

by inserting, immediately after the words “the Singapore Armed Forces” in sub‑paragraph (a), the words “or the Singapore Police Force”; and

(c)

by inserting, immediately after sub‑paragraph (ii) of sub‑paragraph (a), the following sub‑paragraph:

“(iii)

to stand by in case of, or to respond to, an emergency;”.

Amendment of paragraph 4

4. Paragraph 4 of the principal Order is amended —

(a)	by deleting the words “the specified footpath” and substituting the words “any of the specified footpaths”; and
(b)	by inserting, immediately after the words “the Singapore Armed Forces” in sub‑paragraph (a)(i), the words “or the Singapore Police Force”.

Deletion and substitution of Schedule

5. The Schedule to the principal Order is deleted and the following Schedule substituted therefor:
