Regulation of Imports and Exports
(Prescribed Agreements) (Amendment)
Regulations 2015

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Regulation of Imports and Exports Act, the Minister for Trade and Industry hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Regulation of Imports and Exports (Prescribed Agreements) (Amendment) Regulations 2015 and shall, with the exception of regulations 2 and 4(a), come into operation on 1 February 2015.

(2) Regulations 2 and 4(a) shall be deemed to have come into operation on 1 April 2014.

Amendment of regulation 2

2. Regulation 2 of the Regulation of Imports and Exports (Prescribed Agreements) Regulations (Rg 7) (referred to in these Regulations as the principal Regulations) is amended by deleting “31(1)(v)” and substituting “31(1)(x)”.

Amendment of Part I of Schedule

3. Part I of the Schedule to the principal Regulations is amended by inserting, immediately after item 2, the following item:

“3.	Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Singapore and the Government of the United States of America regarding Mutual Assistance between their Customs Administrations.”.

Amendment of Part II of Schedule

4. Part II of the Schedule to the principal Regulations is amended —

(a)

by deleting “31(1)(v)” in the Part heading and substituting “31(1)(x)”; and

(b)

by inserting, immediately after item 2, the following item:

“3.	Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Singapore and the Government of the United States of America regarding Mutual Assistance between their Customs Administrations.”.
