Medical Registration
(Amendment No. 2) Regulations 2009

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 70 of the Medical Registration Act, the Singapore Medical Council, with the approval of the Minister for Health, hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Medical Registration (Amendment No. 2) Regulations 2009 and shall come into operation on 9th September 2009.

Amendment of Second Schedule

2. Item 3 in the Second Schedule to the Medical Registration Regulations (Rg 1) is deleted and the following item substituted therefor:

“3.	Application for a practising certificate under section 36(1) of the Act by a medical practitioner registered in “The Register of Medical Practitioners” —

(a)	where the medical practitioner —

(i)	does not charge any fee for providing clinical services;

(ii)	does not practise as a locum; and

(iii)

does not run a clinic;

$150 per year or part thereof

(b)	in any other case

$300 per year or part thereof.”.
