Medicines (Registration of Pharmacies) (Amendment) Regulations 1997
In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 36(1) and 74 of the Medicines Act, the Minister for Health hereby makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Medicines (Registration of Pharmacies) (Amendment) Regulations 1997 and shall come into operation on 1st October 1997.
Amendment of regulation 3
2.  Regulation 3 of the Medicines (Registration of Pharmacies) Regulations (Rg 4) is amended —
(a)by inserting, immediately after the word “require” at the end of paragraph (1), the words “together with payment of a fee of $80”; and
(b)by deleting paragraph (2) and substituting the following paragraphs:
(2)  On payment of a fee of $100 per year or part thereof, up to a maximum of $540 for 3 years, a certificate of registration of the pharmacy may be granted on such conditions as the licensing authority may impose.
(2A)  A fee of $30 shall be payable for each subsequent amendment to the certificate.”.
