Muslim Marriage and Divorce (Amendment No. 2) Rules 2001

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 145 of the Administration of Muslim Law Act, the President of Singapore hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Muslim Marriage and Divorce (Amendment No. 2) Rules 2001 and shall be deemed to have come into operation on 1st April 2001.

Amendment of Third Schedule

2. Part I of the Third Schedule to the Muslim Marriage and Divorce Rules (R 1, 2001 Ed.) is amended —

(a)

by deleting item 2; and

(b)

by inserting, immediately after item 27, the following item:

“

28. Certified copy of certificate of marriage

$14

”.
