Public Entertainments and Meetings (Demerit Points) (Amendment No. 2) Rules 2003

In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 15 and 23(1) of the Public Entertainments and Meetings Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Public Entertainments and Meetings (Demerit Points) (Amendment No. 2) Rules 2003 and shall come into operation on 1st September 2003.

Amendment of Schedule

2. Part II of the Schedule to the Public Entertainments and Meetings (Demerit Points) Rules (R 2) is amended by deleting paragraph 3 and substituting the following paragraph:

“3. The licensee shall ensure that persons below the age of 16 years are not admitted into the licensed premises at any time except from 6.30 p.m. to 12 midnight on school days.”.
