Notification 2018
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 36(1) of the Interpretation Act, the Minister for Trade and Industry, with the approval of the President, makes the following Notification:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Notification is the Interpretation (Delegation of Powers — Ministry of Trade and Industry) (Economic Expansion Incentives) Notification 2018 and is deemed to have come into operation on 1 May 2018.
Delegation of powers
2.  The Minister for Trade and Industry deputes the Chief Executive, Enterprise Singapore Board, to exercise the powers of the Minister —
(a)under Part X of the Economic Expansion Incentives (Relief from Income Tax) Act (Cap. 86), except the power of appointment under section 69(5) of that Act, in respect of any application for the approval of an investment allowance —
(i)under the Automation Support Package scheme, for fixed capital expenditure not exceeding $10 million; or
(ii)in any other case, where the investment allowance does not exceed $5 million; and
(b)to vary the conditions imposed for the issue of any certificate under Part IIIB of the Economic Expansion Incentives (Relief from Income Tax) Act in respect of any development and expansion company given a concessionary rate of 10%, or under Part X of that Act, subject to the change in quantitative conditions not exceeding 30% of the original approved amount, and any extension of time to fulfil the conditions not exceeding 2 years.
Cancellation
3.  The Delegation of Powers (Ministry of Trade and Industry) Notification 2005 (G.N. No. S 717/2005) is cancelled.
