(Amendment No. 2) Regulations 2021

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 77(1) of the Central Provident Fund Act, the Minister for Manpower, after consulting with the Central Provident Fund Board, makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations are the Central Provident Fund (Approved Housing Schemes) (Amendment No. 2) Regulations 2021 and come into operation on 1 July 2021.

Amendment of regulation 14A

2. Regulation 14A(9) of the Central Provident Fund (Approved Housing Schemes) Regulations (Rg 12) is amended —

(a)

by deleting paragraph (a) of the definition of “private lender” and substituting the following paragraph:

“(a)	any bank as defined in section 2(1) of the Banking Act (Cap. 19);”; and

(b)

by deleting paragraph (d) of the definition of “private lender” and substituting the following paragraph:

“(d)	any merchant bank as defined in section 2(1) of the Banking Act; or”.
