(Fees) (Amendment)
Rules 2018

In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 18(1) and 23 of the Public Trustee Act, the Minister for Law makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules are the Public Trustee (Fees) (Amendment) Rules 2018 and come into operation on 2 July 2018.

New rule 7A

2. The Public Trustee (Fees) Rules 2010 (G.N. No. S 248/2010) are amended by inserting, immediately after rule 7, the following rule:

“Fees charged for payment of trust moneys

7A. A fee of $5 is payable to the Public Trustee for every payment of moneys other than by electronic transfer, out of trust property administered by the Public Trustee under the Act or any other written law, to a beneficiary of the trust or other person entitled to receive the moneys.”.

Transitional provision

3. Rule 2 does not apply in relation to any payment in respect of which the request for payment is made before 2 July 2018.
