Energy Conservation
(Fuel Economy and
Vehicular Emissions Labelling)
(Amendment) Regulations 2018
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 62 of the Energy Conservation Act, the Minister for Transport makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations are the Energy Conservation (Fuel Economy and Vehicular Emissions Labelling) (Amendment) Regulations 2018 and come into operation on 1 July 2018.
Amendment of regulation 3
2.  Regulation 3 of the Energy Conservation (Fuel Economy and Vehicular Emissions Labelling) Regulations 2012 (G.N. No. S 307/2012) is amended —
(a)by inserting, immediately after the words “carbon dioxide” in paragraph (3), the words “and particulate matter”; and
(b)by inserting, immediately after paragraph (3), the following paragraph:
(4)  For the purposes of these Regulations, in the case of a petrol passenger car with an engine that does not employ Gasoline Direct Injection technology, if the emission level of particulate matter for the motor vehicle is not measured, then that emission level is deemed to be more than 2.0 mg/km.”.
