Road Traffic Act
(Chapter 276)
Road Traffic (Electronic Service) (Amendment) Rules 2008
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 34(2) of the Road Traffic Act, the Minister for Transport hereby makes the following Rules:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Rules may be cited as the Road Traffic (Electronic Service) (Amendment) Rules 2008 and shall come into operation on 1st September 2008.
Amendment of rule 9
2.  Rule 9(1) of the Road Traffic (Electronic Service) Rules 2006 (G.N. No. S 121/2006) is amended by deleting the words “A hard copy” and substituting the words “Unless otherwise specified in such circular as may be issued by the Authority under rule 14, a hard copy”.
Amendment of Schedule
3.  The Schedule to the Road Traffic (Electronic Service) Rules 2006 is amended —
(a)by inserting, immediately after item 7 in Part I, the following item:
“

Application to be paid a sum of cash in lieu of rebate
 
8A
”;
(b)by inserting, immediately after item 40 in Part I, the following item:
“
40A.
 
Application to keep de-registered vehicle in approved private area or compound
 
34B(1)
”; and
(c)by inserting, immediately after item 10 in Part II, the following item:
“
10A.
 
Application to be paid a sum of cash in lieu of rebate or setting off of residual value

”.
