Public Utilities
(Composition of Offences) (Amendment)
Regulations 2012

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 59(2) of the Public Utilities Act, the Public Utilities Board, with the approval of the Minister for the Environment and Water Resources, hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Public Utilities (Composition of Offences) (Amendment) Regulations 2012 and shall come into operation on 1st September 2012.

Amendment of regulation 2

2. Regulation 2 of the Public Utilities (Composition of Offences) Regulations (Rg 10) is amended —

(a)	by deleting the word “sections” in paragraph (a) and substituting the words “any offence (other than a continuing offence) under section”;
(b)	by deleting the words “and (5)” in paragraph (a) and substituting the words “(including any such offence for which a person is liable by virtue of section 56A)”;
(c)	by deleting “47” in paragraph (a) and substituting the word “47(1)”;
(d)	by deleting the words “50(1)(a) and (b)” in paragraph (a) and substituting the words “50(1)(a) or (b)”;
(e)	by deleting the words “and 57” in paragraph (a) and substituting the words “or 57(1)”;
(f)	by deleting the words “regulations 38 and” in paragraph (b) and substituting the words “any offence under regulation 38 or”;
(g)	by deleting the word “regulations” in paragraph (c) and substituting the words “any offence under regulation”; and
(h)	by deleting the word “and” wherever it appears in paragraph (c) and substituting in each case the word “or”.
