(Electronic Service) (Amendment)
Rules 2017

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 34(2) of the Road Traffic Act, the Minister for Transport makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules are the Road Traffic (Electronic Service) (Amendment) Rules 2017 and come into operation on 14 August 2017.

Amendment of rule 9

2. Rule 9 of the Road Traffic (Electronic Service) Rules 2006 (G.N. No. S 121/2006) is amended by deleting paragraph (2) and substituting the following paragraph:

“(2) Paragraph (1) does not apply to the following:

(a)	an application under rule 35(2) of the Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Registration and Licensing) Rules (R 5);
(b)	an application under rule 4(1) of the Road Traffic (Registration of Power‑Assisted Bicycles) Rules 2017 (G.N. No. S 451/2017), only if it is submitted by the applicant using an electronic service provided by the Authority at the Internet website at www.onemotoring.com.sg known as the online self‑service facility;
(c)	an application under rule 5(1) or (2), 6(1) or 9(1) of the Road Traffic (Registration of Power‑Assisted Bicycles) Rules 2017;
(d)	a notice of error or omission, notice of change in particulars or request to withdraw an application under rule 7(1) of the Road Traffic (Registration of Power‑Assisted Bicycles) Rules 2017.”.

Amendment of Schedule

3. The Schedule to the Road Traffic (Electronic Service) Rules 2006 is amended by inserting, immediately after Part II, the following Part:

“Part III

ROAD TRAFFIC
(registration of power‑assisted bicycles)
RULES 2017 (G.N. No. S 451/2017)
