(Disbursement of Moneys from Sinking Fund)
(Amendment) Rules 2013

In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 33(6)(a)(v) and 57 of the Town Councils Act, the Minister for National Development hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Town Councils (Disbursement of Moneys from Sinking Fund) (Amendment) Rules 2013 and shall come into operation on 29th July 2013.

Amendment of rule 3

2. Rule 3 of the Town Councils (Disbursement of Moneys from Sinking Fund) Rules (R 5) is amended —

(a)

by deleting the word “and” at the end of paragraph (f); and

(b)

by deleting the full‑stop at the end of paragraph (g) and substituting a semi‑colon, and by inserting immediately thereafter the following paragraphs:

“(h)	replacement of any alarm system installed in any residential property comprising wholly or in part of studio apartments, and which is intended for use by any resident living in a studio apartment to request for emergency or special assistance, where the improvement works are commenced on or after 29th July 2013; and
(i)	replacement of any lift inverter, where the improvement works are commenced on or after 29th July 2013.”.
