Road Traffic (Restriction of Speed on Roads) (Amendment No. 2) Notification 2008

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 63(2) of the Road Traffic Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Notification:

Citation and commencement

1. This Notification may be cited as the Road Traffic (Restriction of Speed on Roads) (Amendment No. 2) Notification 2008 and shall come into operation on 20th September 2008.

Amendment of Second Schedule

2. The Second Schedule to the Road Traffic (Restriction of Speed on Roads) Notification (N 6, 2008 Ed.) (referred to in this Notification as the principal Notification) is amended by inserting, immediately below the item relating to “Lim Chu Kang Road”, the following item:

“Lornie Viaduct — that part of Lornie Viaduct between Braddell Road to Lornie Road, in the direction towards Braddell Road.”.

Amendment of Third Schedule

3. The Third Schedule to the principal Notification is amended —

(a)

by deleting the item relating to “Kallang Paya Lebar Expressway” and substituting the following item:

“Kallang Paya Lebar Expressway — that part of Kallang Paya Lebar Expressway Tunnel between its interchange with East Coast Parkway and its 8.5 kilometre post.”;

(b)

by inserting, immediately below the item relating to “Lornie Road”, the following item:

“Lornie Viaduct — that part of Lornie Viaduct between Braddell Road and Lornie Road, in the direction towards Lornie Road.”; and

(c)

by deleting the item relating to “Tampines Service Road”.

Amendment of Fourth Schedule

4. The Fourth Schedule to the principal Notification is amended by inserting, immediately below the item relating to “East Coast Parkway”, the following item:

“Kallang Paya Lebar Expressway — that part of Kallang Paya Lebar Expressway between its 8.5 kilometre post to its interchange with Tampines Expressway.”.
