Singapore Tourism (Tourist Hotels, Tourist Food Establishments and Tourist Public Houses) (Amendment) Notification 2008

In exercise of the powers conferred by the definitions of “tourist hotel”, “tourist food establishment” and “tourist public house” in section 2 of the Singapore Tourism (Cess Collection) Act, the Minister for Trade and Industry hereby makes the following Notification:

Citation and commencement

1. This Notification may be cited as the Singapore Tourism (Tourist Hotels, Tourist Food Establishments and Tourist Public Houses) (Amendment) Notification 2008 and shall come into operation on 19th September 2008.

Amendment of Schedule

2. The Schedule to the Singapore Tourism (Tourist Hotels, Tourist Food Establishments and Tourist Public Houses) Notification (N 1) is amended —

(a)

by deleting item (5) relating to Astro Hotel;

(b)

by deleting item (11) relating to Changi Hotel;

(c)

by deleting item (36) relating to Hotel Asia;

(d)

by deleting the words “Negara On Claymore” in item (43) and substituting the words “Pan Pacific Orchard”;

(e)

by deleting item (45) relating to Hotel Phoenix Singapore;

(f)

by deleting the words “Raffles The Plaza, Singapore” in item (70) and substituting the words “Fairmont Singapore”;

(g)

by deleting the words “The Oriental” in item (96) and substituting the words “Mandarin Oriental Singapore”;

(h)

by deleting item (105) relating to Shing Hotel; and

(i)

by inserting, immediately after item (113), the following items:

(116) Link Hotel.

(117) Fragrance Hotel Imperial.

(118) Hotel 81-Rochor.

(119) Rider’s Lodge.

(120) Crowne Plaza Changi Airport Hotel.
