Active Mobility (Registration of
Registrable Personal Mobility Devices)
(Amendment) Regulations 2019

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 67 of the Active Mobility Act 2017, the Land Transport Authority of Singapore, with the approval of the Minister for Transport, makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations are the Active Mobility (Registration of Registrable Personal Mobility Devices) (Amendment) Regulations 2019 and come into operation on 1 July 2019.

Amendment of regulation 5

2. Regulation 5(1) of the Active Mobility (Registration of Registrable Personal Mobility Devices) Regulations 2019 (G.N. No. S 13/2019) (called in these Regulations the principal Regulations) is amended by inserting, immediately after sub‑paragraph (d), the following sub‑paragraph:

“(da)

a declaration that the registrable personal mobility device is not registered and that no other application has been made to the Authority for registration of the same registrable personal mobility device;”.

Amendment of regulation 7

3. Regulation 7 of the principal Regulations is amended —

(a)

by deleting the word “or” at the end of paragraph (b)(ii); and

(b)

by inserting, immediately after sub-paragraph (iii) of paragraph (b), the following sub‑paragraphs:

“(iv)	the PMD is already registered; or
(v)	more than one application has been made to the Authority for registration of the same PMD;”.

Amendment of regulation 25

4. Regulation 25 of the principal Regulations is amended by deleting the word “and” at the end of sub‑paragraph (ii) of paragraph (a), and by inserting immediately thereafter the following sub‑paragraph:

“(iii)

at such other part of the PMD as the Authority may allow in any particular case; and”.

Amendment of regulation 29

5. Regulation 29 of the principal Regulations is amended by deleting the word “and” at the end of sub‑paragraph (ii) of paragraph (a), and by inserting immediately thereafter the following sub‑paragraph:

“(iii)

permanently affixed at such other part of the PMD as the Authority may allow in any particular case; and”.
