Dangerous Fireworks
(Annual Exemption)
(Amendment) Notification 2015

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Dangerous Fireworks Act, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Notification:

Citation and commencement

1. This Notification may be cited as the Dangerous Fireworks (Annual Exemption) (Amendment) Notification 2015 and comes into operation on 5 August 2015.

Amendment of Schedule

2. Part 2 of the Schedule to the Dangerous Fireworks (Annual Exemption) Notification 2015 (G.N. No. S 171/2015) is amended by renumbering paragraph 2 as sub-paragraph (1) of that paragraph, and by inserting immediately thereafter the following sub-paragraph:

“(2) Despite sub-paragraph (1), the Officer-in-Charge may, in the case of a celebratory event organised by —

(a)	a Residents’ Committee;
(b)	a Neighbourhood Committee;
(c)	a Grassroots Organisation; or
(d)	a Community Development Council,

to commemorate National Day, accept shorter notice than is as mentioned in that sub-paragraph where the Officer-in-Charge is reasonably satisfied that earlier notice could not have been given.”.
