Singapore Tourism (Tourist Hotels, Tourist Food Establishments and Tourist Public Houses) (Amendment) Notification 2002

In exercise of the powers conferred by the definitions of “tourist hotel”, “tourist food establishment” and “tourist public house” in section 2 of the Singapore Tourism (Cess Collection) Act, the Minister for Trade and Industry hereby makes the following Notification:

Citation and commencement

1. This Notification may be cited as the Singapore Tourism (Tourist Hotels, Tourist Food Establishments and Tourist Public Houses) (Amendment) Notification 2002 and shall be deemed to have come into operation on 1st January 2002.

Amendment of Schedule

2. The Schedule to the Singapore Tourism (Tourist Hotels, Tourist Food Establishments and Tourist Public Houses) Notification (N 1) is amended —

(a)

by deleting the words “Amara Hotel.” in item (3) and substituting the words “Amara Singapore.”;

(b)

by deleting the words “Duxton Hotel Singapore.” in item (21) and substituting the words “Berjaya Hotel Singapore.”;

(c)

by deleting the words “Fortuna Hotel.” in item (25) and substituting the words “Fortuna City.”;

(d)

by deleting item (101) relating to Westin Stamford and Westin Plaza; and

(e)

by inserting, immediately after item (114), the following items:

“(115) Raffles The Plaza, Singapore.

(116) Swissotel The Stamford, Singapore.”.
