(Shared Paths)
(Amendment) Order 2020
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 6 of the Active Mobility Act 2017, the Land Transport Authority of Singapore makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Order is the Active Mobility (Shared Paths) (Amendment) Order 2020 and comes into operation on 18 January 2020.
Amendment of paragraph 2
2.  Paragraph 2 of the Active Mobility (Shared Paths) Order 2018 (G.N. No. S 260/2018) (called in this Order the principal Order) is amended —
(a)by deleting the semi‑colon at the end of the definition of “National Parks Board” and substituting a full‑stop; and
(b)by deleting the definition of “park connector”.
Amendment of paragraph 3
3.  Paragraph 3 of the principal Order is amended by deleting sub‑paragraph (3) and substituting the following sub‑paragraph:
“(3)  A path on land vested in or under the control or management of the National Parks Board that —
(a)is surfaced with bituminous surfacing material, asphalt, concrete or pavers;
(b)is usually at least 2.5 metres but not more than 6 metres in width; and
(c)is specified or described in the Third Schedule,
is each declared to be a shared path for the purposes of the Act.”.
Amendment of First Schedule
4.—(1)  Part 1 of the First Schedule to the principal Order is amended by inserting, immediately after item 10, the following items:
“11.A path (approximately 0.06 kilometre in length) starting at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1, running along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10 and ending at the vehicular access to Pathlight School.
12.A path (approximately 0.14 kilometre in length) starting at the vehicular access to Pathlight School, running along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10 and ending at the vehicular access to Townsville Primary School.
13.A path (approximately 0.09 kilometre in length) starting at the vehicular access to Townsville Primary School, running along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10 and ending at the access leading to the carpark of Block 401 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10.
14.A path (approximately 0.26 kilometre in length) starting at the access leading to the carpark of Block 401 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10, running along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10 and ending at the carpark access near Block 409 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10.
15.A path (approximately 0.09 kilometre in length) starting at the access leading to the carpark of Block 411 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10, running along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10 and ending at the carpark access near Block 412 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10.
16.A path (approximately 0.12 kilometre in length) starting at the access leading to the carpark of Block 412 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10, running along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10 and ending at Ang Mo Kio Street 41.
17.A path (approximately 0.06 kilometre in length) starting at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 8, running along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1 and ending at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10.”.
(2)  Part 6 of the First Schedule to the principal Order is amended by inserting, immediately after item 20, the following item:
“21.A path (approximately 0.15 kilometre in length) starting at North Bridge Road, running along Coleman Street and ending at Hill Street.”.
(3)  Part 8 of the First Schedule to the principal Order is amended by inserting, immediately after item 2, the following items:
“3.A path (approximately 0.06 kilometre in length) starting at lamp post 42 on Hougang Avenue 9, running along Hougang Avenue 9 and ending at lamp post 38 on Hougang Avenue 9 (excluding the path behind bus stop number 64491).
4.A path (approximately 0.07 kilometre in length) starting at lamp post 28 on Hougang Avenue 9, running along Hougang Avenue 9 and ending at lamp post 24 on Hougang Avenue 9.
5.A path (approximately 0.34 kilometre in length) starting at lamp post 20 on Hougang Avenue 9, running along Hougang Avenue 9 and ending at lamp post 2 on Hougang Avenue 9.”.
(4)  Part 18 of the First Schedule to the principal Order is amended by inserting, immediately after item 7, the following item:
“8.A path (approximately 0.23 kilometre in length) starting between Block 260A Sengkang East Way and Block 257C Compassvale Road, running between the blocks and along Block 259 Compassvale Road and ending at Block 259A Compassvale Road.”.
(5)  Part 22 of the First Schedule to the principal Order is amended by deleting item 32 and substituting the following item:
“32.A path (approximately 0.40 kilometre in length) starting at the intersection of Yishun Avenue 6 and Yishun Avenue 1, running along Yishun Avenue 1 and ending at the intersection of Yishun Street 43 and Yishun Avenue 1.”.
(6)  Part 23 of the First Schedule to the principal Order is amended by inserting, immediately after item 3, the following items:
“4.A path (approximately 0.16 kilometre in length) starting at Woodlands Avenue 3, running along Woodlands Avenue 5 and ending at South Woodlands Way.
5.A path (approximately 0.10 kilometre in length) starting at South Woodlands Way, running along Woodlands Avenue 5 and ending at the taper‑in to bus stop number 46321 fronting Woodlands Civic Centre.
6.A path (approximately 0.13 kilometre in length) starting at Woodlands Avenue 5, running along South Woodlands Way and Woodlands Square and ending at Woodlands Avenue 3.”.
(7)  The First Schedule to the principal Order is amended by inserting, immediately after Part 23, the following Parts:
“Part 24
Bukit Panjang
1.A path (approximately 0.37 kilometre in length) starting at the intersection of Gangsa Road and Petir Road, near lamp post 101 on Petir Road, running along Petir Road and ending at lamp post 37 on Petir Road.
Part 25
NOVENA
1.A path (approximately 0.29 kilometre in length) starting at Malcolm Road, running along Whitley Road and ending at Stevens MRT station Exit D along Whitley Road.”.
Amendment of Part 3 of Second Schedule
5.  Part 3 of the Second Schedule to the principal Order is amended by inserting, immediately after item 13, the following item:
“14.A path (approximately 0.60 kilometre in length) starting at Jurong West Street 71, running along Jurong West Avenue 5 and ending at Jurong West Street 72.”.
Amendment of Third Schedule
6.  The Third Schedule to the principal Order is amended —
(a)by deleting the Schedule heading and substituting the following Schedule heading:
“SHARED PATHS MANAGED BY
NATIONAL PARKS BOARD”; and
(b)by inserting, immediately after item 97, the following item:
“98.Sims Avenue Park Connector (approximately 2.71 kilometres in length) starting at the junction of Geylang Road and Paya Lebar Road, running along Paya Lebar Road, Sims Avenue and Paya Lebar Link, towards Sims Avenue East and ending at Kembangan MRT station.”.
