Refusal to Register Marriages, Etc. (Form of Notification) (Amendment) Rules 2009

In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 104 and 145 of the Administration of Muslim Law Act, the President of Singapore hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Refusal to Register Marriages, etc. (Form of Notification) (Amendment) Rules 2009 and shall come into operation on 1st March 2009.

Amendment of rule 2

2. Rule 2 of the Refusal to Register Marriages, etc. (Form of Notification) Rules (R 2) is amended by deleting the word “, divorce”.

Amendment of Schedule

3. The Schedule to the Refusal to Register Marriages, etc. (Form of Notification) Rules is amended by deleting the words “*marriage/divorce/revocation of divorce” and substituting the words “*marriage/revocation of divorce”.
