(Motor Vehicles, Quota System)
(Amendment) Rules 2018

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 10A(4) of the Road Traffic Act, the Minister for Transport makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules are the Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Quota System) (Amendment) Rules 2018 and come into operation on 1 September 2018.

Amendment of Fourth Schedule

2. The Fourth Schedule to the Road Traffic (Motor Vehicles, Quota System) Rules (R 31) is amended by inserting, immediately after the words “Commission Regulation (EU) No. 459/2012” in items (b)(i) and (c)(i) of the table in paragraph 1 and in the definition of “Euro VI PN limit” in paragraph 2, the words “, with the following modification: the references to “6,0 × 10¹¹” under the sub‑column titled “PI” of the column titled “Number of particles (PN)” are to be read as references to “6,0 × 10¹²” ”
