Air Navigation (Changi Airport Fees) (Amendment) Order 2008

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3(2)(o) of the Air Navigation Act, the Minister for Transport hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Air Navigation (Changi Airport Fees) (Amendment) Order 2008 and shall come into operation on 1st November 2008.

Deletion and substitution of paragraph 10

2. Paragraph 10 of the Air Navigation (Changi Airport Fees) Order (O 3) is deleted and the following paragraph substituted therefor:

“Charges to be paid by passengers

10.—(1) Subject to paragraph 11, the following charges shall be paid to the Authority by every passenger embarking on an aircraft at the aerodrome:

Terminal building of embarkation

For passengers embarking before 1st January 2009

For passengers embarking on or after 1st January 2009

Passenger service charge

Passenger security service charge

Passenger service charge

Passenger security service charge

(a) Budget terminal

(b) Any other terminal

$15

$8.

(2) The Authority may collect the passenger service charge and passenger security service charge referred to in sub-paragraph (1) —

(a)	in a lump sum of $13 from every passenger embarking on an aircraft at the budget terminal of the aerodrome before 1st January 2009;
(b)	in a lump sum of $21 from every passenger embarking on an aircraft at any other terminal of the aerodrome before 1st January 2009;
(c)	in a lump sum of $15 from every passenger embarking on an aircraft at the budget terminal of the aerodrome on or after 1st January 2009; or
(d)	in a lump sum of $28 from every passenger embarking on an aircraft at any other terminal of the aerodrome on or after 1st January 2009.”.

Savings

3. Notwithstanding paragraph 2, paragraph 10 of the Air Navigation (Changi Airport Fees) Order (O 3) in force immediately before 1st November 2008 shall continue to apply to any passenger who has purchased a passenger ticket before that date.
