(Amendment) Order 2017

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 7(1) of the Terrorism (Suppression of Financing) Act, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order is the Terrorism (Suppression of Financing) (General Exemption) (Amendment) Order 2017 and comes into operation on 28 September 2017.

Amendment of paragraph 2

2. Paragraph 2 of the Terrorism (Suppression of Financing) (General Exemption) Order 2013 (G.N. No. S 604/2013) is amended by deleting the definition of “terrorist” and substituting the following definition:

“ “terrorist” means any person who —

(a)	commits, or attempts to commit, any terrorist act; or
(b)	participates in or facilitates the commission of any terrorist act,

and includes a person mentioned only in paragraph 1A of the First Schedule to the Act, but excludes a person mentioned in paragraph 1, or in both paragraphs 1 and 1A, of that Schedule.”.
