(Export Licence for Psychotropic Substances)
(Amendment) Regulations 2016
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 74 of the Medicines Act, the Minister for Health makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations are the Medicines (Export Licence for Psychotropic Substances) (Amendment) Regulations 2016 and come into operation on 1 November 2016.
Deletion and substitution of regulation 3
2.  Regulation 3 of the Medicines (Export Licence for Psychotropic Substances) Regulations (Rg 9) is deleted and the following regulation substituted therefor:
Licence to export psychotropic substance
3.  A person must not export any consignment of —
(a)a psychotropic substance; or
(b)a medicinal product containing any psychotropic substance,
unless —
(i)the person possesses a valid export licence for that consignment; and
(ii)the export of that consignment is in accordance with the terms and conditions specified in the export licence.”.
Amendment of Schedule
3.  Paragraph 1 of the Schedule to the Medicines (Export Licence for Psychotropic Substances) Regulations is amended —
(a)by deleting the word “Buprenorphine”;
(b)by inserting, immediately after the word “Pentobarbital”, the word “Phenazepam”; and
(c)by deleting the word “Pyrovalerone”.
