(Cycling Without Age - Accenture — Exemption)
Order 2019
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 66 of the Active Mobility Act 2017, the Minister for Transport makes the following Order:
Citation
1.  This Order is the Active Mobility (Cycling Without Age - Accenture — Exemption) Order 2019.
Definitions
2.  In this Order —
“Cycling Without Age - Accenture” means the event known as Cycling Without Age - Accenture conducted on the footpaths specified in the Schedule from 9.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. on 6 September 2019;
“organiser” means the company incorporated under the Companies Act (Cap. 50) as Cycling Without Age Singapore Ltd. (UEN 201714757N);
“specified e‑trishaw” means a three‑wheeled pedal cycle that —
(a)is constructed or adapted for the carriage of passengers;
(b)is equipped with an electric motor;
(c)may be propelled by human power or by the electric motor with which it is equipped, or by both; and
(d)is used by the organiser for the purpose of Cycling Without Age - Accenture.
Exemption for driver of specified e‑trishaw
3.  Section 16(1)(b) of the Act does not apply to an individual who drives a specified e‑trishaw on any footpath specified in the Schedule under the following conditions:
(a)the individual is authorised by the organiser to drive the specified e‑trishaw;
(b)the specified e‑trishaw is driven only during and in connection with Cycling Without Age - Accenture;
(c)there are no more than 2 other specified e‑trishaws used on all of the footpaths specified in the Schedule when the specified e‑trishaw is driven;
(d)the specified e‑trishaw is not driven at a speed exceeding 10 km/h;
(e)the specified e‑trishaw does not carry, at any time, more than one driver and 2 passengers;
(f)all passengers on the specified e‑trishaw are safely secured;
(g)the specified e‑trishaw is not used to carry passengers or goods for hire or reward;
(h)there is in force, at any time the specified e‑trishaw is used in connection with Cycling Without Age - Accenture, a policy of insurance in relation to the specified e‑trishaw insuring against any liability in respect of the death of or bodily injury sustained by any person (other than the driver or any passenger), or property damage suffered by any person (other than the driver or any passenger), caused by or arising out of the use of the specified e‑trishaw.
