Medicines (Labelling) (Amendment)
Regulations 2016
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 44 of the Medicines Act, the Minister for Health makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations are the Medicines (Labelling) (Amendment) Regulations 2016 and come into operation on 1 November 2016.
Deletion of regulations 2 and 5
2.  Regulations 2 and 5 of the Medicines (Labelling) Regulations (Rg 5) are deleted.
New regulation 3A
3.  The Medicines (Labelling) Regulations are amended by inserting, immediately after regulation 3, the following regulation:
Scope of Regulations
3A.  These Regulations do not apply to —
(a)Chinese proprietary medicines; and
(b)any medicinal product (other than any Chinese proprietary medicine) that is clinical research material as defined in regulation 2 of the Medicines (Medicinal Products as Clinical Research Materials) Regulations 2016 (G.N. No. S 336/2016).”.
