Central Provident Fund (Investment Schemes) (Amendment No. 3) Regulations 1998

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 77 (1) (m) of the Central Provident Fund Act, the Minister for Manpower, after consultation with the Central Provident Fund Board, hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Central Provident Fund (Investment Schemes) (Amendment No. 3) Regulations 1998 and shall come into operation on 12th November 1998.

Amendment of regulation 2

2. Regulation 2 of the Central Provident Fund (Investment Schemes) Regulations (Rg 9) is amended —

(a)

by deleting the word “and” at the end of paragraph (h) of the definition of “securities”; and

(b)

by inserting, at the end of paragraph (i) of the definition of “securities”, the word “and”, and by inserting immediately thereafter the following paragraph:

“(j)	bonds, denominated in Singapore currency, issued by any statutory body established by or constituted under any written law;”.
