Responsibility for Portfolio of Minister for Culture, Community and Youth

It is hereby notified for general information that, pursuant to Article 30(1) of the Constitution of the Republic of Singapore, the Prime Minister has directed that Dr Yaacob Ibrahim shall, with effect from 1st November 2012, be charged with the responsibility for the portfolio of the Minister for Culture, Community and Youth in so far as such responsibility relates to —

(a)	the Majlis Ugama Islam, Singapura;
(b)	the Syariah Court;
(c)	the Registry of Muslim Marriages;
(d)	the registration of Muslim marriages and Muslim divorces; and
(e)	Muslim affairs.

Citation

2. This Notification may be cited as the Constitution of the Republic of Singapore (Responsibility for the Portfolio of the Minister for Culture, Community and Youth) (No. 2) Notification 2012.

Cancellation

3. The Constitution of the Republic of Singapore (Responsibility for the Portfolio of the Minister for Community Development, Youth and Sports) (No. 2) Notification 2011 (G.N. No. S 314/2011) is cancelled.
