Constitution of the Republic of Singapore
Legal Service (Personnel Boards) (Amendment) Order 2016
In exercise of the powers conferred by Article 111AA(1), (2) and (8) of the Constitution of the Republic of Singapore, the President, on the advice of the Prime Minister, makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Order is the Legal Service (Personnel Boards) (Amendment) Order 2016 and comes into operation on 1 November 2016.
Amendment of paragraph 2
2.  Paragraph 2 of the Legal Service (Personnel Boards) Order 2007 (G.N. No. S 654/2007) (called in this Order the principal Order) is amended by inserting, immediately after the definition of “promotion”, the following definition:
“ “subordinate court” has the same meaning as in the Supreme Court of Judicature Act (Cap. 322);”.
Amendment of Schedule
3.  Item 1 of the Schedule to the principal Order is amended by deleting the name “Justice Chao Hick Tin” in the second column and substituting the name “Justice Andrew Phang Boon Leong”.
Miscellaneous amendments
4.  The principal Order is amended by deleting the words “State Courts” wherever they appear in the following provisions and substituting in each case the words “subordinate courts”:
Paragraphs 4(1), (2) and (3) and 5(1), (2) and (3).
