Endangered Species (Import and Export) Act
(Amendment of Schedule) (No. 2)
Notification 2017

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 28 of the Endangered Species (Import and Export) Act, the Minister for National Development makes the following Notification:

Citation and commencement

1. This Notification is the Endangered Species (Import and Export) Act (Amendment of Schedule) (No. 2) Notification 2017 and comes into operation on 4 October 2017.

Amendment of Schedule

2. The Appendices of the Schedule to the Endangered Species (Import and Export) Act are amended —

(a)

by deleting item 1 under sub‑heading A (“Carcharhinidae (Requiem sharks)”) in taxon I relating to “CARCHARHINIFORMES” under the heading “CLASS ELASMOBRANCHII (SHARKS)” in Part 1 and substituting the following items:

“

Carcharhinus falciformis

Carcharhinus longimanus

”; and

(b)

by deleting sub‑headings A and B and all items in taxon II relating to “LAMNIFORMES” under the heading “CLASS ELASMOBRANCHII (SHARKS)” in Part 1 and substituting the following sub‑headings and items:

“

Alopiidae (Thresher sharks)

Alopias spp.

Cetorhinidae (Basking sharks)

Cetorhinus maximus

Lamnidae (Mackerel sharks)

Carcharodon carcharias

Lamna nasus

”.
