(Conservancy and Service Charges)
(Amendment) By-laws 2016

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24(1) of the Town Councils Act, the Town Council for the Town of West Coast makes the following By-laws:

Citation and commencement

1. These By-laws are the Town Council of West Coast (Conservancy and Service Charges) (Amendment) By-laws 2016 and come into operation on 15 November 2016.

Amendment of by‑law 2

2. By‑law 2 of the Town Council of West Coast (Conservancy and Service Charges) By‑laws 2006 (G.N. No. S 472/2006) is amended —

(a)

by deleting the word “Every” and substituting the words “Subject to paragraph (2), every”; and

(b)

by renumbering the by‑law as paragraph (1) of that by‑law, and by inserting immediately thereafter the following paragraph:

“(2) In the case of an owner or tenant whose lease or sublease of the flat or stall does not commence on the first day of the month, the owner or tenant must pay to the Town Council, on the day the lease or sublease commences, the conservancy and service charges mentioned in paragraph (1), pro‑rated to discount the number of days before the lease or sublease commenced.”.

Amendment of Schedule

3. The Schedule to the Town Council of West Coast (Conservancy and Service Charges) By‑laws 2006 is amended —

(a)

by deleting the Schedule reference and substituting the following Schedule reference:

“By-law 2(1)”;

(b)

by inserting, immediately after item 5, the following item:

“

5A.	5‑room (3‑generation) flat

$78.50

$72.50.

”;

(c)

by inserting, immediately after paragraph (e) of item 7, the following paragraph:

“

(ea)	5‑room (3‑generation) flat

$77.58.

”; and

(d)

by deleting the words “items 1 to 5” in paragraphs (1) and (2) under the heading “Note” and substituting in each case the words “items 1 to 5A”.
