(Winding Up)
(Revocation) Rules 2020
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 410 of the Companies Act, we, the Rules Committee, constituted under the Supreme Court of Judicature Act (Cap. 322), make the following Rules:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Rules are the Companies (Winding Up) (Revocation) Rules 2020 and come into operation on 30 July 2020.
Revocation
2.  The Companies (Winding Up) Rules (R 1) are revoked.
Saving provision
3.  Despite rule 2, the Companies (Winding Up) Rules as in force immediately before 30 July 2020 continue to apply to or in relation to the following:
(a)an order for a winding up of a company made under section 216(2)(f) of the Act before that date;
(b)an application made before that date for the winding up of a company under section 253 of the Act;
(c)an application made before that date for the winding up of an unregistered company under section 351 of the Act;
(d)a voluntary winding up that commences within the meaning of section 291(6) of the Act before that date;
(e)a liquidation or dissolution of a foreign company in its place of incorporation or origin in respect of which a notice under section 377(2)(a) of the Act was lodged before that date;
(f)an application made before that date for recognition of a foreign proceeding under Article 15(1) of the Tenth Schedule to the Act.
