Endangered Species (Import and Export) Act
(Amendment of Schedule) (No. 2)
Notification 2016

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 28 of the Endangered Species (Import and Export) Act, the Minister for National Development makes the following Notification:

Citation and commencement

1. This Notification is the Endangered Species (Import and Export) Act (Amendment of Schedule) (No. 2) Notification 2016 and comes into operation on 21 November 2016.

Amendment of Schedule

2. The Appendices of the Schedule to the Endangered Species (Import and Export) Act are amended —

(a)

by deleting item 1 under sub‑heading D in taxon V under the heading “CLASS REPTILIA (REPTILES)” in Part I and substituting the following items:

“

Chelydra serpentina (United States of America)

Macrochelys temminckii (United States of America)

”;

(b)

by inserting, immediately after item 1 under sub‑heading L in taxon V under the heading “CLASS REPTILIA (REPTILES)” in Part I, the following items:

“

1A.

Apalone ferox (United States of America)

1B.

Apalone mutica (United States of America)

1C.

Apalone spinifera (except the subspecies included in Appendix I) (United States of America)

”; and

(c)

by inserting, immediately after item 1 under sub‑heading D in taxon II under the heading “CLASS AMPHIBIA (AMPHIBIANS)” in Part I, the following item:

“

Salamandra algira (Algeria)

”.
