Town Council of Sembawang (Conservancy and Service Charges) (Amendment No. 2) By-laws 2003
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24(1) of the Town Councils Act, the Town Council for the Town of Sembawang hereby makes the following By-laws:
Citation and commencement
1.  These By-laws may be cited as the Town Council of Sembawang (Conservancy and Service Charges) (Amendment No. 2) By-laws 2003 and shall come into operation on 1st January 2004.
Amendment of Schedule
2.  The Schedule to the Town Council of Sembawang (Conservancy and Service Charges) By-laws (By 21) is amended by deleting items 9 to 15 and substituting the following items:
9. Shop with living accommodation
$1.58 per square metre of the area of the shop subject to a minimum of $52.50 in addition to the following conservancy and service charges for the equivalent room type:
(a) 1-room flat
$19.95.
(b) 2-room flat
$28.35.
(c) 3-room flat
$37.28.
(d) 4-room flat
$49.35.
(e) 5-room flat
$61.95.
(f) Executive apartment or maisonette
$78.75.
(g) Multi-generation
(Type A Flat)
$84.00.
(h) Multi-generation
(Type B Flat)
$78.75.
10. Shop without living accommodation
$1.58 per square metre of the area of the shop subject to a minimum of $52.50.
11. Office, shoplet or kiosk
$1.58 per square metre of the area of the premises subject to a minimum of $52.50.
12.—(1)  Stall:
 
(a) Cooked food stall
$136.50 for every 10 square metres of the area of the stall or part thereof.
(b) Fruit, preserved and dried goods, fresh fish and seafood, meat or poultry stall
$63.00 for every 10 square metres of the area of the stall or part thereof.
(c) Vegetable, bean curd and noodle, egg, ground assorted spices or miscellaneous stall
$42.00 for every 10 square metres of the area of the stall or part thereof.
(d) Piece and sundry stall
$78.75 for every 10 square metres of the area of the stall or part thereof.
(2) 2 or more stalls with total area exceeding 10 square metres allotted to a stall-holder
Charges for each additional stall shall be double the conservancy and service charges for the first stall allotted to the stall-holder set out in paragraph (1).
13. Premises for use as —
 
(a) Education Centre
40% of the conservancy and service charges for the equivalent room type specified in item 9 (a) to (h).
(b) Child Care Centre or Community Centre
100% of the conservancy and service charges for the equivalent room type specified in item 9 (a) to (h).
(c) Citizens Consultative Committee Centre, Residents Committee Centre, Community Hall, Student Service Centre, Medical Service Centre or Social Service Centre
10% of the conservancy and service charges for the equivalent room type specified in item 9 (a) to (h).
(d) Neighborhood Police Post or Satellite Fire Post
78.75 cents per square metre of the area of the premises.
14. Other commercial property
$1.58 per square metre of the area of the premises subject to a minimum of $52.50.
15.—(1) Office/Shop/ATM/Supermarket at Block 678 and Block 678A, Woodlands Avenue 6 and Block 511, Canberra Road
$6.30 per square metre of the area of the premises subject to a minimum of $52.50.
(2) Eating establishment at Block 678A, Woodlands Avenue 6 and Block 511, Canberra Road
$7.35 per square metre of the area of the premises subject to a minimum of $52.50.
(3) Wet market at Block 678A, Woodlands Avenue 6 and Block 511, Canberra Road
$8.40 per square metre of the area of the premises subject to a minimum of $52.50.
