Customs (Valuation) (Import Duty) (Amendment) Regulations 2000

In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 22A and 143(1) of the Customs Act, the Minister for Finance hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Customs (Valuation) (Import Duty) (Amendment) Regulations 2000 and shall come into operation on 1st January 2001.

Miscellaneous amendments

2. The Customs (Valuation) (Import Duty) Regulations (Rg 8) are amended —

(a)

by deleting the words “IMPORT DUTY” in the 3rd line and substituting the words “CUSTOMS DUTY”;

(b)

by deleting the words “Import Duty” in regulation 1 and substituting the words “Customs Duty”; and

(c)

by deleting the words “import duty” wherever they appear in the following regulations and substituting in each case the words “customs duty”:

Regulations 3 (1), 10(1) (2nd line), 10(2) (penultimate line) and 12(1) (penultimate line).
