(Modification of Definition of “Securities” in
Section 81SF of Act) Regulations 2018

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 81SU(1)(i) of the Securities and Futures Act, the Monetary Authority of Singapore makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations are the Securities and Futures (Modification of Definition of “Securities” in Section 81SF of Act) Regulations 2018 and come into operation on 8 October 2018.

Modification of definition of “securities” in section 81SF of Act

2. The definition of “securities” in section 81SF of the Act is modified to include —

(a)	any unit in a collective investment scheme; and
(b)	any derivatives contract.
