Central Provident Fund
(Withdrawal of Cash Grants)
(Amendment) Regulations 2015

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 77(1)(s) of the Central Provident Fund Act, the Minister for Manpower, after consulting with the Central Provident Fund Board, makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Central Provident Fund (Withdrawal of Cash Grants) (Amendment) Regulations 2015 and come into operation on 1 November 2015.

Amendment of regulation 3

2. Regulation 3 of the Central Provident Fund (Withdrawal of Cash Grants) Regulations (Rg 8) (referred to in these Regulations as the principal Regulations) is amended by deleting paragraph (6).

Amendment of regulation 4

3. Regulation 4 of the principal Regulations is amended —

(a)	by deleting the words “, CPF Medisave Top-Up Scheme or MediShield Scheme for the Elderly” and substituting the words “or CPF Medisave Top-Up Scheme”; and
(b)	by deleting the words “, CPF Medisave Top-Up Scheme or MediShield Scheme for the Elderly” in the regulation heading and substituting the words “or CPF Medisave Top‑Up Scheme”.

Amendment of Second Schedule

4. The Second Schedule to the principal Regulations is amended —

(a)

by deleting items (2) and (3); and

(b)

by inserting, immediately after item (4), the following items:

“(5)	The MediShield Life Scheme Regulations 2015 (G.N. No. S 622/2015).
(6)	The MediShield Life Scheme (Private Medical Insurance Scheme) Regulations 2015 (G.N. No. S 623/2015).”.
