Consumer Protection (Fair Trading)
(Opt-Out Practices) (Amendment)
Regulations 2015

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 20 of the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act, the Minister for Trade and Industry (Industry) makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) (Opt-Out Practices) (Amendment) Regulations 2015 and come into operation on 1 November 2015.

Amendment of regulation 7

2. Regulation 7 of the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) (Opt‑Out Practices) Regulations 2009 (G.N. No. S 67/2009) is amended —

(a)

by deleting the words “MediShield Scheme” in paragraph (1) and substituting the words “MediShield Life Scheme”; and

(b)

by deleting the definition of “MediShield Scheme” in paragraph (2) and substituting the following definition:

“ “MediShield Life Scheme” means the medical insurance scheme called the MediShield Life Scheme established under section 3 of the MediShield Life Scheme Act 2015 (Act 4 of 2015).”.
